If you choose to bring your children to the Moon Festival, you must agree to participate in the Family Co-op and pay the Children price ($55) or be completely responsible for supervising them at all times and pay the Adult price ($105).
The Family Co-op (ages 3-15) is run by the parents and the Family Co-op Coordinator, Ellen Thompson. During adult workshops and dances, children's activities and a supervised sleeping area will be provided. This is a not a babysitting service but a way for both parents and children to enjoy the festival!
Parents are required to lead one children's workshop, per family, in addition to their regular Community Task.
Children, ages 12-15, are required to help with one children's workshop (typically the one provided by their parents or guardian), or spend one hour taking care of the younger children during an evening dance. Both parents and older children must sign up to lead these workshops on the registration form. A detailed follow-up letter will be sent to all families.
Please also consider bring a few books, toys, crafts, outdoor activities and/or board games to share!
If you are not bringing a child but still would like to provide a children's workshop, please do! This comes with the same perks as providing an adult workshop, such as signing up for your Community Task early and the amazing opportunity to share with the community!
Some fun workshop ideas that have worked well in the past are:

-Nature Hike
-Finger Painting
-Melty Beads
-Friendship Bracelets/Beading
